Two fragments and a scrap of a light-brown papyrus sheet, rubbed in places; left, top, right margins survive. A dark stain is visible in the lower portion of the sheet. Writing is along the fibres on either side, the back only having one-line docket. Mounted in a glass case.

Script: Upright and rather square hand of fair size, with few ligatures.

Provenance: Phathor, Egypt. Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 2543-2551 from Maurice Nahman (b. 1868, d. 1948) in September 1923. Part of a joint purchase with the University of Michigan, Columbia University and the University of Oslo.
