Leaf from a papyrus codex (miniature), imperfect on one side, containing 12 lines on either side; the upper margin measures 10 mm, the lower 15 mm; a scrap from another text, upside down in the frame and now detached from the leaf, had been added (possibly by the finders) to repair the gap in the lower corner of the leaf. Housed in a glass case.

Script: Small, neat, yet somewhat irregular uncial hand; nomina sacra are abbreviated.

Provenance: Philadelpheia, Egypt. Purchased with a lot comprising Papyri 2557-2647 in November 1924, as part of a joint purchase arranged by Francis Willey Kelsey (b. 1858, d. 1927); acquired from Maurice Nahman (b. 1868, d. 1948).
