A fully preserved papyrus sheet, somewhat defaced in places and with a few holes, especially in the centre, along the vertical folds. Writing is on one side along the fibres; all margins are extant, the right being minimal. Housed in a glass case.

Script: Three cursive hands, the second (from line 13) and third (from line 22) smaller and rougher.

Provenance: Oxyrhynchus, Oxrhynchite nome, Egypt. Purchased with a lot comprising Papyri 2556-2647 in November 1924, as part of a joint purchase with the University of Michigan, Columbia University, Princeton University, New York University, Wilfred Merton (b. 1888, d. 1957), and Alfred Chester Beatty (b. 1875, d. 1968); acquired from Maurice Nahman (b. 1868, d. 1948).
