Agreement dated in the second year of Ptolemy VIII, Cleopatra II and Cleopatra III, whereby Tathotis, daughter of Phibis, is bequeathing to Kobahetesis, her own daughter, plots of land located in various places, the seventh part of a palm grove, shares of three houses located in different places, portions of two vacant plots, alongside the dowry that she had already received. The document consists of a summary, the full agreement and the receipt for the tax on sale paid by Kobahetesis with the banker’s signature at the end.

Sheets from a papyrus roll of high quality, fully preserved and containing a text arranged in columns of varying lengths, written on one side along the fibres; the first column was originally rolled and sealed. Mounted on cardboard and housed in three glass cases named Papyrus 2850(1), 2850(2) and 2850(3) respectively.

Dimensions: Full roll: 160 x 1057 mm; Papyrus 2850(1) measures 160 x 347 mm, Papyrus 2850(2) 160 x 370 and Papyrus 2850(3) 160 x 340 mm. Housed in three glass cases named Papyrus 2850(1), Papyrus 2850(2) and Papyrus 2850(3), measuring 210 x 395 mm, 210 x 410 mm and 210 x 395 mm respectively.
Script: Fine and clear hand, with a tendency for letters to be more cursive towards the ends of the lines; different hands in the initial summary and in the receipt for payment of the tax on sales and the final signature.
