'SVMMA quae vocatur Veritas Theologie, secundum S. Thomam de Aquino' (so colophon): the Compendium Theologicae Veritatis, probably by Hugh of Strassburg (cf. 6 B. IX, art. 3). Prologue beg. 'Veritatis thelogice (sic) sublimitas'; text, 'Deum esse multis modis ostenditur'. A table of contents precedes (f. 3 b) and at f. 220 is the beginning of a subject-index (cf. 6 B. IX, art. 2). On the fly-leaf (f. 3) are eight verses on the temperaments (Schola Salortzitana, ed. Renzi, 1859, v, l. 1714),beg. 'Inmundus tristis cupidus dextreque tenacis'. Vellum; ff. 220. 61/2 in. x 41/4 in. XV cent. Gatherings of 12 leaves, with catchwords. Sec.fol. 'verum etenim'. Initials flourished in red and blue. Belonged to John Theyer (monogram, f. 1). Theyer sale-cat. no. 260; CMA. 6494.
