Thai alphabet, registered as a manuscript, but in fact a printed version which was engraved from the item Royal MS 16 B IV with the title Alphabetum Syamense. Signed „MBurg. sculp.“ Michael Burghers was born in Holland around 1647/8, died in Oxford 1727.
Oldest known example of Thai script printed in Europe.

Binding: Bound in red leather (British Museum binding) together with prints of the Sinhalese and Tatar alphabets, Chinese numbers, weights, measures, directions etc., all engraved by Michael Burghers
- Custodial History:

Thomas Hyde aquired copper-plates of two Siamese and one Sinhalese alphabets, for which Burghers had charged £5, in 1700 (stated in a letter to Thomas Bowrey, MSS Eur E 192)
British Museum acquired the item for the Royal Collection, 1757
