(2) Petition of the Commons to James I on civil and ecclesiastical grievances; July 16 10. For another copy see Cotton MS. Titus F. iv, f. 133. ff. 12-46.
(3) The King's Answer to the above Petition; 23 July 1610. Printed in Cobbett's Parliamentary History, i, p. 1135. ff. 47-57.
(4) Journal of the Expedition to Cadiz in October 1625 under Edward Cecil, Viscount Wimbledon, by himself in form of a report to their 'Lordshipps'. ff. 58-67. In the margin are notes by someone hostile to the author. There is another copy of the journal and marginal notes at Oxford, Tanner MSS. lxxii. 16 (cf. S. R. Gardiner, History of England, vi, p. 12, note). The journal, as printed in 1626, is practically the present article.
(5) Another account of the expedition. ff. 68-77b. There is another copy of this account in Harley MS. 37, f. 88. It was printed under the title of 'The Charge delivered by the Earl of Essex and nine other Colonels at the Council-Table, against the Viscount Wimbledon, general of the last Cales Voyage', in The Genuine Works in Verse and Prose of... George Granville, Lord Lansdowne, 1732, ii, p. 256. Paper; ff. 77. Large quarto. XVII cent.
