PIERRE BAYLE LETTERS
Collection of original letters (with some copies) chiefly of Pierre Bayle, author of La Dictionnaire Historique et Critique, to various French, Dutch and Swiss literary persons, among them being Pierre Des Maizeaux, Abbé Claude Nicaise, Bernard de la Monnoye, Jean LeClerc, David Constant de Rebecque, etc; 1670-1706. French. Followed (f. 263) by miscellaneous papers of P. Des Maizeaux connected with his editions of Lettres de Bayle, 1729, 1739, in which most of Bayle's letters are printed, and his La Vie de Bayle, 1722, 1732.
