Many of the letters are addressed to Thomas Gale, Dean of York (1697-1702). Among them are letters from (a) Martin Bucer, Peter Martire Vermigli, Peter Alexander and Paul Fagius, then guests of Archbishop Cranmer, to Lord Burghley; Lambeth, 13 Aug. 1549.
