TOLAND PAPERS
Collection of papers, letters, etc., relating to the life and writings of John Toland, deist (d. l722), consisting of agreements with publishers and printers, title-pages of his works, answers to critics, etc., with a few original letters addressed to him, and drafts of his own letters. Some of the papers
are printed in The Miscellaneous Works of Mr. John Toland, by P. Desmaizeaux, 2 vols., 1747. For other papers relating to Toland see Add. MS. 4465. The names of the writers of letters, etc., are to be found in the Index of the present Catalogue. Paper; ff. 83. Folio. XVII-XVIII centt.
