PAPERS RELATING TO VARIOUS SOCIETIES, with which Birch was connected. A few letters are interspersed, the names of the writers of which are to be found in the Index of the present Catalogue. the principal contents are as follows:-
(1) The Society for Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts:- (a) Copy of letters patent of Charles II incorporating a Society by the name of 'a Society or Companie for propagation of the gospell in New England and the parts adiacent in America'; circa 1661. Imperfect at the end. ff. 1-24;-(b) Summonses to meetings of the Society; 15 Dec. 1752, printed, 12 Nov. 1761. ff. 60, 61.
