Correspondence, etc., of Thomas Birch. The contents may be divided as follows:-
(1) Rough drafts of letters (without names of addressees), notes and extracts from books, etc., in Birch's autograph. ff. 1-103 passim, 144, 159, 209-287 passim. Among these are (1) A short account of Sir Hans Sloane. f. 2;- (2) Fragments of minutes of the Royal Society, 1753. ff. 6b, 7, 10;- (3) List of pupils of Dr.Tillotson (Archbishop of Canterbury 1691), when Fellow of Clare Hall. f. 25;- (4) List of benefactors of the Royal College of Physicians. f.64;- (5) Beginning of Birch's Life of Henry Prince of Wales, 1760. f. 257.
