Collected by Robert Cooke ... amended by Robert Glover ... and lastly copyed and augmented ... by Thomas Lant ... 1589'; being a copy of the Baronage
of England by Robert Cooke, with amendments by Robert Glover and Thomas Lant, made in 1727 from a transcript taken by Charles Parkin, Rector of Oxburgh (1717-1765), from an original owned by Thomas Chute of South Pickenham, co. Norf. Incomplete, the last entries being for the reign of Hen. V. Written probably by a member or close associate of the family of Sir Simeon Stuart (cf. Add. MS. 24121, f. 265, which is in the same hand, also Add. MSS. 4958, ff. 110-112b and 4977, ff. i, 28). For a late sixteenth century version of this MS. see Royal MS. 18 C. xvii.
