STUART COLLECTION. Vol. III (ff. i + 160). 'The Armes of the Nobilitie of England', with crests and supporters, collected by Samuel Waker and in his autograph; 1670. The arms, in trick, are those of peers living at about this date, arranged in order of precedence. There are tables of contents at ff. 2-3. The work is preceded by a frontispiece bearing Waker's signature, engraved portraits of Charies II by William Faithorne the elder, and of Catharine of Braganza by Arnold de Jode, with engraved arms (ff. 4-8). At f. 160 are recipes for distilling spirits.
