STUART COLLECTION. Vol. VII (ff. 126). Collections of the descents and arms of the gentry of Middlesex, by Richard Mundy: an unfinished copy made by Waker, with arms in trick, and some additions by the copyist; 1668. There is an index at ff. 5-6. Mundy's original MS., Harley MS. 1551, was published by The Harleian Society, vol. lxv, 1914, under the title 'Middlesex Pedigrees'. The following material is bound into the volume:- (a) A printed map of Middlesex, augmented by Speed after Norden and sold by Roger Rea the elder and younger; circa 1660-1667. ff. 3-4;- (b) Coloured drawings of two banners, each bearing the arms of the Union, a royal Crown and entwined initials G[eorgius] A[nna] R[egina]. f. 75;- (c) Notes on the families of Sir John Blencowe (d. 1726) and Dr. John Wallis (d. 1703), in the hand of R. Wallis; early 18th cent. ff. 123-124;- (d) Pedigree of the Burton family of Lindley, co. Leic.; 17th cent. ff. 125-126. Old number 'N. 14' (f. 1).
