STUART COLLECTION. Vol. IX (ff. 101). Collection of arms granted circa 1556-1644, made by Richard Wallis; late 17th cent. Autograph. The arms are painted and in trick up to f. 70, after which they are mainly rough pencil sketches. A large number were granted by Sir William Segar, Garter King of Arms, 1603, 1607-1633. There is an index at ff. 5-10. Old number 'N. 15' (f. 2). At f. 1 is the bookplate of Hewer Edgley Hewer, 1727-1728.
