STUART COLLECTION. Vol. XII (ff. i + 167). Collection of arms; 16th-17th centt. Formerly in the possession of Richard Wallis and partly in his autograph. Includes the following:-
(1) Sketches of arms in trick, taken from churches and private houses in Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk, by William Harvey, Clarenceux King of Arms, probably during his visitations of those counties; circa 1558-1563. ? Autograph. There is an index to this section at ff. 152-161. ff. 2-90b.
(2) Arms of Lincolnshire families in Wallis's autograph; late 17th cent. In trick. There is an index to this section at ff. 161b-165. ff. 97b-151b. At f. 2 are verses beginning 'The fatall howre and end of all that lyve'; 16th cent. Old number 'N. 21' (f. 1)
