Pinter Archive. 'The Dwarfs'; [circa 1960-1966]. Mostly typewritten. First performed as a radio play for BBC Radio 'Third Programme', 2 Dec. 1960, produced by Barbara Bray. First staged as part of a double bill with 'The Lover' at The Arts Theatre, 18 Sept. 1963, directed by Harold Pinter. Play first published as A Slight Ache and Other Plays, Methuen (1961). The play is based on a novel of the same name, written by Pinter during the 1950s, revised in 1989 and published as The Dwarfs, Faber and Faber (1990). [Previous reference: Loan 110A/14].
