'A description of all the cheifest Minerall Oares and the sorts of Mountain Workes, how the same and every one in particular, according to their nature and property, are to be tried upon all mettalls, etc.; in five Books; By the farr renowned Lazarus Ercker, cheif master of the Mines, and bookeeper in the Kingdome of Bohemia to the Roman Emperour 1598.' ff. 1-102.
This translation from the original German, by Sir John Pettus was printed in 1683 in the first part of his work intitled 'Fleta Minor, or the Lawes of Art and Nature in Knowing Metals.' The introduction is omitted, but in other respects the printed text varies but little from the MS. At the end is a 'Directory' or table of contents.
