Vellum, Paper, in Oblong Quarto, ff. 31, XVI Century.
'A booke containing divers sortes of hands as well the English as French secretarie with the Italian, Roman, Chancery and Court hands,' etc., by William Teshe of York. It is dedicated to Queen Elizabeth and illustrated with many curious drawings, one of the Queen in a triumphal car attended by Fame and an Herald at Arms, and the picture of the author presenting the book to her Majesty, 1680. ff. 1-30.
At the end of the book are some verses on the Seven Wonders of the World by Robert Sterrell, 'Granchilde' of William Teshe. They begin:—
'The worlds most famous wonders are these seven.'
