5. An establishment of all his Majesty's Ships agreed on by the Lord Generall and Committee of the Council of State, 30 March 1660. f. 10b.

'An establishment of the number of men to be born on the severall ships of his majesty's Royal Navy, with respect to their service in time of warr and peace, abroad or in the channell presented to his Royal Highness by the … and Commissioners of his Majesty's Navy:' — with a note of approval of the same by James Duke of York, Lord High Admiral, 1671. ff. 17b-19.

'A methode prescribed by Sr. Anthony Deane for distinguishing the full charge of a ship of each rate, whereby the cost of any one of the like dimensions, where it to be built new and equipped for a voyage of six months would rationally appear; and consequently the charge of a navy of any number or rate.' f. 52.
