Following incorporation of Sloane's library into the British Museum after 1753, most of the entries referring to manuscripts in his catalogue (now Sloane MS 3972 C/1-8) were removed and sent to the Department of Manuscripts where they were bound or copied into the volume now under reference Sloane MS 3972 B.
