Grant by Alexandria daughter of Ralph fitz Bernard, with the consent of Robert de Herierbi and her son William, to Stixwould Priory [Lincolnshire], of all her dowry after her husband Robert and her son William are dead. When Alexandria dies, the priory will receive her body as if she were a member of their house and pray for her. But if she decides to join a religious house, the priory will admit her as a sister. Date based on the script.
Endorsed: in a 13th-century hand, ‘Alexandrie filie Radulphi / Bernardi’.
Affixed with an imperfect seal of Alexandria, lozenge, brown, with a full-length image of Alexandra in a long dress with long mauches, right hand outstretched, with the fragmentary legend, ‘sigillum alex… …dulfi Bernardi’.
