Sale by Katherine von Solmesse and Salentin, lord of Isenburg, her husband, to Baldwin [von Luxembourg, r. 1307-54], archbishop of Trier, of Mergenhusen, Maybrode and Beringerhusen.
Affixed with 7 seals. The first, a fine seal of Salentin, oval, brown, with a heraldic shield with two bars, the arms of Isenburg, on a tree, flanked by two wyverns reguardant, with the legend, ‘s[igillum] salentini d[omi]ni de ysenborch’.
The second, an imperfect seal of Katherine von Solmesse, oval, brown, with a full-length image of Katherine in a long dress holding a heraldic shield with two bars for Isenberg on the left and a lion rampant for Solmesse on the right, with the legend, ‘s[igillum] katerine d[omi]ne in ysinburch’.
The third, a fragmentary seal of Robin von Isenburg, archdeacon of Trier, lozenge, brown, with an image of Robin holding a book, standing on a carved corbel, below which is a heraldic shield with two bars, the arms of Isenburg, with the fragmentary legend, ‘s[igillum] r… …burch archid… …verensis’.
The fourth, an indistinct seal of Syfrid von Isenburg, oval, brown, with a heraldic shield with two bars, the arms of Isenburg, with the legend, ‘s[igillum] syf[ri]di de ysenb[ur]g clerici’.
The fifth, a fine seal of Gerlach, lord of Limburg, oval, brown, equestrian, with Gerlach armed and armoured, wearing a helmet with a plume of five feathers, a sword and shield in each hand, on a horse in a caparison and with the same plume, and the legend, ‘sigillum gerlaci domini de lympurch’. Reverse: a counterseal with a helmet, with the legend, ‘s[igillum] secretum gerlaci’.
The sixth, a fine seal of Goffried, count of Sayn, oval, brown, with a heraldic shield with a lion rampant, crowned, with the legend, ‘s[igillum] domini godefridi de seyne’.
The seventh, a fine seal of Gysen, lord of Mollesperg, oval, brown, a heraldic shield with a lion rampant.
