Will of Gunnilda atte Denne, leaving her body to be buried in the churchyard of St Peter Newdigate [Surrey], and making bequests to that church for her obit mass, to the poor, her family and friends, and appointing executors; dated 12 April 1318.
Probate certificate by John, rector of Lanihook, for the deanery of Guildford; given at Dorking, the Thursday before the feast of St Margaret the Virgin [13 July] 1318.
Endorsed: in a late 19th-century hand, ‘Pur[chased] of Mr Ja[mes] Coleman / 26 Mar[ch] 1867’.
Detached imperfect seal of the deanery of Guildford, lozenge, brown, with part of an eagle rising, with the fragmentary legend, ‘decan… e…’ (see Birch, Catalogue of Seals (1887-1900), I, p. 358).
