Membrane from a roll originally sewn at top and bottom, containing contemporary transcripts of grants by Henry III, viz: (a) Inspeximus and confirmation of King John's charter to Kirkstead Abbey, co. Linc. (Calendar of Charter Rolls, I, pp. 383-384), 15 April 1252; (b) Grant of liberties by Henry III to burgesses of Nottingham, 20 July 1255. (ibid., pp. 448-449). Latin. Formerly Phillipps MS. 32018. Another membrane which contains a contemporary transcript of a grant by Henry III in 1252, originally formed part of a roll, and was also a Phillipps MS., is Add. Ch. 75890. It is not known if these two membranes originally belonged to the same roll.
