CONVEYANCE by Sir Henry Herbert, gentleman of the privy chamber, Dame Susan Herbert his wife, Edward Herbert of the Inner Temple, George Herbert of Chelsea and Thomas Lawley of Sponhill, co. Salop, to William Burgess of Windsor and William James of Woodford of the manor of Ribbesford, in trust for the use of Sir Henry during life and of his wife after his death, ‘in full recompence of her dower’; 14 July 1628. Signed by the grantors over seal-tags that now bear only the red wax armorial seal of Lawley and a fragment of the seal of Edward Herbert.
