INDENTURE between Sir Henry Mildmay and Sir Henry Herbert for the payment on 31 Oct. following ‘at or in the nowe dwellinge house of Thomas Lawley of London Esquire scituate and beinge in or neeere Broadstreete’ of one thousand pounds, remaining as security in the jointure of Dame Anne Mildmay, still outstanding from the five thousand pounds at which Herbert, along with the three other parties has purchased the manor of Ribbesford; 3 Aug. 1627.
Signature of Mildmay, with red wax seal (broken). On verso occur signatures as witnesses of Thomas Gardiner, Francis Watson, George Jones, William Blagrove, Roger Thornes, Anthony Hingford and [?John] Mildmay, with later note acknowledging discharge of the articles.
