This notebook contains notes on Assyrian cuneiform starting 'Obs. on some clay tablets in the B. Musm copied Oct 20, 22'. The notebook contains short notes on tablets from Nineveh. Back to front: starting 'A few notes concerning Niner, the mythic founder of Nineveh and some other prints of the cuneiform inscripts'. The major part of the notebook includes notes on published texts, a further draft with corrections of the previous publication of an inscription of Esarhaddon and a new translation of Esarhaddon. The notes are related to a publication in Transactions of the Royal Society of Literature. The notes in the back are from 1865/66.
