Talbot makes references to religious beliefs, and possibly includes extracts from 'Brugsch Geographische Inschriften Altäegyptischer Denkmäler vol. 2' (1865) which he mentions on the first page. The notebook might also be a script of a talk on Egyptian history and geography.
The loose notes are headed: 'Addition to the article sent to the Biblico-Archaelogical Society on the Religious Belief of the Assyrians'.
The notebook is not dated, but 'Athenaeum Club' is written in Talbot's hand under his name on the inside front cover.
