This schoolbook contains drawings (ink, pencil and watercolour) of basic geometric figures and astronomical diagrams with annotations, possibly drawn with the help of a tutor. The geometrical drawings deal with surfaces and solids, regular bodies, circles and trigonometry. Amonst them are depictions of the solar system, the Tellurian system, a section called 'Fixed stars' which contains a drawing about the solar system and movement of the moon in relation to the earth, the principle of Bode’s law for planetary distances, the parallax in the difference of aspect of a planet seen from the centre of the earth and from its surface, the phases of the moon, the moon’s curve in one lunation and several other elementary diagrams depicting distances in the space, spheric projections, and triangulation (the determination of distances and angles between points on the surface of the earth).

At the back of the notebook is a list of practical geometric exercises, headed 'Titles of Problems', e.g. 'to find the latitude of a given Place', and 'to find the sun's declination'. The following double page contains a few small pressed leaves.
