This notebook contains detailed descriptions of plants and a list of several places in Europe Talbot travelled to between 1821 and 1823. Back to front (upside down): lists of plants Talbot found during travels mainly in France, Germany and Austria in 1822 and 1823. The notebook also contains a very detailed and long description of the Cuscuta and several other selected plants. Some of these descriptions which were extracted from encyplopaedic publications are clearly earlier (from around 1817). Talbot then started reusing the notebook in 1821.
