Calendar of deeds and papers relating to the estates, etc., chiefly in counties Midd., Som., Suff. and Wilts., of Sir Stephen Fox; 23 April 1540 - 5 Mar 1714; mostly compiled circa 1695 with additions in several hands to 1714. Notes have been made in the hand of Henry Wood, clerk to John Ward, one of the trustees of Sir Stephen Fox, in connexion with an examination of the deeds, 24 May - 8 Oct 1716; the words 'entered' or 'copied', in the same hand occur at the head of several sections and may refer to the compilation of Add MS 51332. At the end, reversing the volume (ff. 35-38b), are further lists of deeds, including some belonging to Charles Cornwallis, 4th Baron Cornwallis, 23 Feb 1548 - 6 July 1700. At the beginning (f. 1) is a table of estates.
