Will of Agnes Leigh, widow, of the parish of Cheriton [Kent], leaving her body to St Martin’s Church, Cheriton, to be buried there beside her husband Nicholas Leigh, leaving bequests to the altars there, at Newington [Kent], and West Hythe [Kent], money for lights at Cheriton church, arrangements for memorial masses, money for the poor, the disposition of her land and houses to several benefactors, and the appointment of executors; given 12 February 1515 [1516].
Dorse: Probate certificate by the official of the archbishop of Canterbury; dated 1 July 1518.
Endorsed: in a 16th-century hand, ‘Testa[mentum] Agnetis Legh.’
