Lead seal.
Obverse: patriarchal cross mounted on a base of 3 steps, with a pellet in each quarter; along the circumference, circular invocative inscription within concentric borders of dots.
Reverse: inscription of 5 lines beginning with a cross; border of dots.
Obverse: Κύριε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ.
Reverse: + Μαλακηνῷ βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ Πελοποννήσου.
Translation: Obverse: Lord aid your servant. Reverse: Malacenus imperial first sword-bearer (protospatharios) and governor (strategos) of Peloponnese
