Lead seal. Obverse: St Demetrios, standing, in military dress holding spear and shield flanked by vertical inscriptions, border of dots.
Reverse: inscription of 7 lines beginning with a cross, border of dots.
Obverse: ῾Ο ἅγιος Δημήτριος. Reverse: + Κύριε βοήθει Νικηφόρῳ κουροπαλάτῃ καὶ δοὺξ τῶν ᾿Ανατολικῶν τῷ Βοτανειάτῃ.
Translation: Obverse: St Demetrios. Reverse: Lord aid Nikephoros Botaneiates head of the Palace (curopalates) and duke (doux) of the Anatolikoi.
