Viz:- (a) Three drafts or autograph copies of a letter to the King, 10 Dec 1754, delivered (see 51380, f. 4) by Lord Waldegrave, followed (f. 7) by a copy of the King's statement in reply, 12 Dec 1754, admitting Lord Holland to the Cabinet. See Henry Fox ..., i, pp. 236-238. ff. 1-8b ;- (b) Memorandum explaining to the King his resignation as Secretary of State; 13 Oct 1756. Copy, in the hand of Lady Holland, preceded (ff. 9-12b) by two autograph drafts written for submission to the King's mistress, Amalie Sophie Marianne von Wallmoden, Countess of Yarmouth.
