The Old Testament ends imperfect in II Maccabees 14:33; the New Testament ends imperfect in Luke 3:31.
The general prologue is not divided into chapters; chapters do not start on new lines; Proverbs starts on a new quire (f. 115r); Psalms 51 and 101 do not have initials as elaborate as the 8 liturgical divisions.
ff. 196v-197r have a marginal English Tyndale translation.
Decoration:
Large puzzle initials in red and blue, with flourishing in the same colours. Small initials alternately blue or red, with flourishing in the other colour. One-line initials alternately blue or red (only in red in quires xii-xv; ff. 115-158).

The Franciscan convent of Babwell, Bury St Edmunds, 14th century: 'Iste liber est de co(mmun)itate fr(atr)um minor(um) S(an)c(t)i Eadmu(n)di ex dono q(uo)nd(am) Reginaldi sacerdotis / de ead(e)m villa': then in two different hands, over two layers of erasures, all later struck out: 'Cuius usus debetur fr(atr)i Walt(er)o de Bukenh(a)m ad vitam' (f. 1r; see Ker 1964, pp. 5, 228).

Acquired by the British Museum as part of Burney’s library from his son Charles Parr Burney in 1818.
