Dimensions: 230 x 150 mm (text space 135 x 120 mm).

Foliation: ff. i + 83 (ff. i and 83 are original flyleaves, conjointed with the pastedowns, with erased medieval text).

Collation: i⁸⁺¹ (1st leaf added; ff. 1-9), ii-ix⁸ (ff. 10-73), x⁸⁺¹ (last leaf added; ff. 74-82).

Script: Protogothic.

Binding: Pre-1600. Spanish(?) brown leather over wood boards, blind tooled with interlace/strapwork designs, and a lamb-and-flag stamp; remains of four clasps; first half of the 16th century? Rebacked.

Origin: Spain(?) or Italy.

Provenance:

Unidentified owners: erased ownership(?) inscriptions (f. 1r-v).

Charles Burney (b. 1757, d. 1817), D.D., classical scholar.

Acquired by the British Museum as part of Burney’s library from his son Charles Parr Burney in 1818 (Inscription: 'E Libris Caroli Parr Burney. 1818', f. 1r).
