Material: Paper.
Foliation: ff 300. One unfoliated paper flyleaf at the beginning and two at the end.
Dimensions: 305 x 205 mm.
Ruling: 210 x 140 mm. 28 lines per page.
Binding: 18th century. Typical Askew binding of diced calf, with the usual 'palmette and fleur-de-lys' gilt roll, marbled endpapers and parchment flyleaves.
Decoration: Foliate headpieces in reddish brown and/or red (ff. 4, 120, 278v). Other simple endpieces in red or brown. Large initials with foliate decoration. Small simple red or reddish-brown initials.
Scribe: Νικόλαος Μαλαξός (Repertorium 1A, no. 312).

Text copied by the scribe Nikolaos Malaxos (see Gamillscheg and Harlfinger 1981 no. 312).
Antonios Triphillis (1st half of the 18th century), dealer in manuscripts: his signature on the upper margin of the first text leaf.
Richard Mead (b. 1673, d. 1754), physician and collector of books and art: bequeathed to Askew.
Anthony Askew (b. 1722, d. 1774), physician and book collector: his sale, 7 March 1785, lot 561, purchased by Wodhull for £1 2s.
Michael Wodhull (b. 1740, d. 1816), book collector and poet (his bibliographical notes, ff 3, 300): his sale, 3 March 1801, lot 391, bought by Burney for £1 1s.
Charles Burney (b. 1757, d. 1817), D.D., classical scholar (ff 1-2 are flyleaves of Burney notepaper, with the watermark 'C. Wilmott 1807' and a lion within a crowned circle, respectively).
Acquired by the British Museum as part of Burney’s library from his son Charles Parr Burney in 1818.
