Provenance:
Written by the scribe Πέτρος Βεργίκιος, nephew of Ἄγγελος Βεργίκιος (Repertorium 1A, no. 3), who was based in Paris from 1539. It is likely that Πέτρος travelled with him.
Anthony Askew (b. 1722, d. 1774), physician and book collector: his sale, Leigh and Sotheby's, 7 March 1785, lot 565, bought by Wodhull.
Michael Wodhull (b. 1740, d. 1816), book collector and poet: his sale, Leigh and Sotheby's, 3 March 1801, lot 392, bought by Burney.
Charles Burney (b. 1757, d. 1817), D.D., classical scholar.
Acquired by the British Museum as part of Burney’s library from his son Charles Parr Burney in 1818.
