Material: Paper. Watermark of three mountains in a circle with a cross above, similar to Briquet no. 11912 (dated 1515 to Padua).
Foliation: ff 100 (ff i-v and 104-6 are paper flyleaves)
Dimensions: 320 x 210 mm.
Ruling: 210 x 125 mm. Leroy 10D1m, 28 lines per page.
Collation: i-xiii8 (ff 1-103, including f 26*).
Binding: British Museum, 1962.
Script: Written by the same scribe as Burney 102 and 103.
Decoration: Simple red foliate headpieces (f 1r, 27r). Red initials, many with foliate penwork decoration. Numerous diagrams, many in combinations of ink drawings and yellow, blue and red, with people and/or animals.

Provenance:
Written by the same scribe as Burney 102 and 103, possibly in Venice, and originally bound together in the same volume.
Maffeo Pinelli (d. 1785) of Venice (inscription '7952', f. iii, an original paper flyleaf, upper left corner, corresponding to his inventory number, see Morelli 1787, III, no. 7951 (‘Ordinum Militarium Distributio, Graece’): his London sale, 2 March 1789, lot 12858, bought by Marsh for £2 17s.
Charles Marsh (b. 1735, d. 1812), F.S.A.: his sale, 1 February 1816, lot 975, bought by Burney.
Charles Burney (b. 1757, d. 1817), D.D., classical scholar.
Acquired by the British Museum as part of Burney’s library from his son Charles Parr Burney in 1818.
