Provenance:
Partly palimpsest (e.g. ff. 26r and 33r): under ultra-violet light the dates 1310 and 1311 can be read in the running heading of some pages; f. 1r starts 'Inquisitio facta p(er) …'.
Unidentified owner: with an erased ownership(?) inscription (f. 2r, upper margin); annotated in a hand of second half of the 14th century.
Unidentified owner, 1413?: inscribed 'Hunc librum emi [erasure] mag(ist)ro Bartolomeo Cartolario [sic] Anno d(omi)ni Mill(esim)o quadrigentesimo [erasure, perhaps: decimo tercio(?) die terciodecimo febr(uari)i …]' (f. 1r); annotated in a humanistic cursive hand, 15th century.
Mr Duval: his anonymous sale, 11 May 1813, lot 286, bought by Burney for £1 2s.
