Inscribed in near contemporary script (before the loss of a leaf after f. 25r) with a leaf-count: ‘nu(mer)o 115 cartar(um)’ (f. 114v). Marginalia in Italian (e.g. f. 54r).

Material: Paper (watermark: a gothic ‘M’, closest to Briquet 8348: Pistoia, 1412; Fabriano, 1406-1413).
Dimensions: 295 x 215 mm (text space 195 x 140 mm), typically 32-34 lines. Frame-ruled in leadpoint.
Foliation: ff. iii + 120 (ff. i-iii, 118-120 are flyleaves).
Collation: i-ii12 (ff. 1-24), iii12-1 (2nd leaf missing; ff. 25-35), iv-ix12 (ff. 36-107), x10 (ff. 108-117). Catchwords.
Script: Humanistic, written 'above top line'. Spaces left for Greek words, occasionally filled by an inexpert hand; spaces left for initials.
Binding: Post-1600. Burney binding of diced calf; the first (but not last) leaves with holes caused by the metal corner-pieces of a former binding. Traces of a fore-edge title.
