Inscribed with a six-line inscription in Italian, 17th century(?), the start of some lines cut away: ‘Questo libro e di gregorie dj Gioua[n]|baptista di gregorio dala pieue a s(an)c(t)o | […] chi lo trouassi sia co(n)te(n)to | […] e chi lo troua | […]e ch’ no(n) e il suo | […] Ame(n) FINIS’ (f. 78v).
Inscribed in ink, 17th century(?), ‘No 2021’ (f. 1r, top left, by the same hand as ‘No 2020’ in Burney MS 277).
Anonymous sale, Christie’s, 19 May 1802, lot 53 or 54, bought by Burney.
