Dimensions: 210 x 150 mm (text space 135 x 90 mm), in 25 lines. Ruled in leadpoint.
Foliation: ff. v + 95 (ff. i-v, 90-95 are flyleaves). Burney pagination 1-165.
Collation: Uncertain, perhaps: i-ii10 (ff. 2-21), iii-viii10 (ff. 22-81), ix8 (ff. 82-89). Vertical and horizontal catchwords.
Script: Written 'below top line' in humanistic script, spaces left for headings.
Binding: Post-1600. Burney binding of blind-tooled diced polished calf; flyleaves with watermarks 'E & P / 1805' (cf. Burney MS 220), and 'G R' below a fleur-de-lis topped with a coronet.

Provenance:
Inscribed ‘hic juuenalis (con?)stant ex xv saturis(?) et est p(at)ri Laureanj Laurenti filius mag[?]’ (f. 1r), and annotated by several other hands with pen-trials, in the 15th century, including the first line of Martial, Epigrams, 12.42 (f. 1r; the whole epigram is added by the same hand in the lower margin of. f. 6v), and a few words and phrases in Greek (ff. 1r, 89v).
Maffeo Pinelli (d. 1785) of Venice: inscription ‘7942’, altered to ‘7941’ (f. 1r), no. 7941 in the 1787 Pinelli catalogue (see Morelli 1787, p. 359); lot 12847 in the 1789 Pinelli sale catalogue, bought by Edwards for 18s.
James Edwards (b. 1756, d. 1816), book collector and bookseller: possibly to be identified with his catalogue, 1790, no. 386.
John Haddon Hindley (b. 1765, d. 1827), orientalist: perhaps his sale catalogue, 1793, lot 1192, bought by Egerton for 3s.
John Egerton (d. 1795), possibly his sale catalogue, 1794, lot 3841.
