Decoration: Large puzzle initials in red and blue, with foliate infill and flourishing in red (ff. 1r, 26r). Small initials in blue flourished in red, alternating with plain red initials. Small plain red or blue initials.

Foliation: ff. ii + 46 (ff. ii and 46 are paper flyleaves; f. i is a book-plate).
Collation i-iii12 (ff. 1-36), iv12-3 (the last three leaves missing, probably blank; ff. 37-45).
Script: Gothic cursive, and Gothic (ff. 42v-44).
Binding: Post-1600. Pale brown leather, the covers framed with a gilt roll; edges gilt; 18th century.

Sir William Burrell (b. 1732, d. 1796), 2nd baronet, antiquary: his armorial bookplate with the motto 'Sub libertate quietem' and the legend 'Gulielmus Burrell Arm. / de Beckenham in Com. Cantii.' (f. i, stuck to the front pastedown); apparently not in his sale, 2 May 1796.
Charles Burney (b. 1757, d. 1817), D.D., classical scholar. Acquired by the British Museum as part of Burney’s library from his son Charles Parr Burney in 1818.
