Material: Parchment.
Dimensions: 210 x 120 mm (text space 185 x 105 mm).
Foliation: ff. xv + 24 (ff. I-xv; 13-24 are paper flyleaves). The parchment folios are also paginated (probably by Charles Burney), but the page numbers have been crossed out.
Script: Protogothic.
Decoration: Simple small red, brown, or blue initials, a few with simple decoration in a second colour.
Binding: Post-1600. Brown calf.

Provenance:
The Cistercian abbey of St Mary, Thame, Oxfordshire (see Ker 1964, p. 188).
William Forrest, according to Ker, the vicar of Bledlow, near Thame, in 1556 (see Ker 1938, pp. 134-35 and see Burney MS 357, f. 24v inscription ‘liber Guilielmi fforresti’). (See also Emden 1974, pp. 209-10, who describes Forrest as a canon of Oseney Cathedral, Oxford, and afterwards rector of Bledlow and chaplain to Queen Mary).
Charles Burney (b. 1757, d. 1817), D.D., classical scholar.
Acquired by the British Museum as part of Burney's library from his son Charles Parr Burney in 1818.
