Dimensions: 325 x 235 mm (text space 240 x 165 mm in two columns with intercolumn of 20 mm).
Foliation: ff. ii + 249 (ff. i-ii, 1, and 248-9 are flyleaves: ff. i and 249 are parchment with marbled paper stuck to one side; ff. 1 and 248 are parchment; f. ii is modern paper)
Collation: i-xl8 (ff. 2-241), xlix five (ff. 242-247)
Script: Gothic cursive.
Binding: Post-1600. Diced calf, stamped in gilt capitals 'De la bibliotheque de la Chevaliere d'Eon' in the center of the front cover; the spine with a gilt neo-classical urn motif; the edges of the leaves yellow; joints repaired in 1982.

Provenance:
- An erased inscription, 15th century, perhaps includes a date or price: 'D…go p… xiij(?) f…' (f. 246v).
- Charles Geneviève Louis Auguste André Timothée, Chevalier D'Éon de Beaumont in the French nobility (b. 1728, d. 1810), diplomatist and transvestite; with a long note in French, signed by d'Éon and dated at London, 15 January 1786, stating that the manuscript is unique and was written in the year 711 (f. 1r-v): his sale, 12 February 1813 lot 21.
- Charles Burney (b. 1757, d. 1817), D.D., classical scholar. Acquired by the British Museum as part of Burney’s library from his son Charles Parr Burney in 1818.
