A 13th-century Englishcopy of the Latin translation of Josephus Flavius’s Jewish War. Josephus’s works on the history of the Jews wereconsidered as important aids for interpreting the Bible and survives in medieval copies.

2 large initials incolours, at the beginning of the prologue and Book 1 (ff. 4r, 5v). 6 largepuzzle initials in red and blue, with red and blue pen-flourishing, at thebeginning of Books 2-7 (ff. 42r, 72r, 90r, 100v, 112r, 132v).
